Using tones of blushing pink, whites, and shiny golds, Flack depicts a small statue of a child, a pink rose, a mirror, fruit, makeup, and a perfume bottle—objects with a feminine connotation. Also included is a portrait of a woman by Leonardo da Vinci. Flack emerged as an artist during a time when the art world was dominated by male artists. She broke through barriers in the artworld by becoming the sole notable female Photorealist and attending Yale.
